he is desert wanting
weeping grains of sandsong
that thirst through melt fingers
he stirs mirage trances
to draw sighcastles parched
on tips of tongue

in dreamtime oasis
I dive his storms
and ride that thunder
chilled for seethe of fever
gulping bolts of singewater
grateful for the burning

greening drought blooms
succulents for taking
this mesmer of the mesas
sidewind glances sinuous
shimmerdances perihelion
the rise and ebb of dune

in the cool night
a woman rattles
and coyotes moan
his dusty ghosts

Dear Heather, your inspiration is tangible within every word. A passionate write, born from your very special "unbound" creativity.

To read and savor more than once!
