What is love?
Is it happy,sad,mad,glad?
Is it righteous,a king,or a queen,
Enormous
Tiny

What is love?
Does it make you feel gritty,
Or does it give you butterflies,
Does it make tell the truth instead of lies.

Can someone help by saying,"I love you"
Love if your there,please find me soon
Find me under the nights full moon.

Give me more love than hate I felt
In that back ally way,
Where my Father pinned me down
Lend me your hand,as tell you this story.

Mother,Godfather,sister,brother help me;
Don't go,Oh,no God please don't leave;
He did wrong know,but
He told me,"Not to scream,yell,kick,or cuss."

I was to stunned to put up much fuss,
I'm hiding this sin by asking you again,
What is love?
My family can't tell me what it is.

So,maybe in a year or two;
Will I ever be able to look my Father,
In the eye and say ,I love you,again?

Mother I'm sorry about the way I act;
It's just so hard to forget the attack
Or the hate I feel towards that man
For hurting and beating me with hostile hands.

I'm giving everything left that he didn't take.

We are unique in Jesus' eyes.

Yep, Bobby, I agree and I think that is the point. We can smile and be good daughter, sons, fathers, mothers - but know one knows what we hide behind our eyes. That's what I got out of this one anyway.

PBC'nM, this poem hit me on so many levels. I admire you for sharing it, for writing it and for dealing with the aftermath have you done. You are quite the poet and I am happy you are among us.
