Fleeting by Rick Delmonico When distance is measured in tears and loneliness blankets the years I know only what I feel, in this moment however fleeting or ignoble While we busy ourselves with our lives until only a portion survives on the arm of a galaxy inconsequential that dances in the dark for an eon Can we watch as the mountains erode and become shifting sands on the nebulous shore All of nature begins to corrode and then freeze in the darkness to be evermore When lovers are drunk on the shore and expect passersby to ignore Such a brightly lit romance in the soft sand however fleeting or forgetful When effort is focused and drained To rise and dissolve, naught remained Such a contrast to the patient universe a billion billion lights for an eon Can we catch all the granules of time that spill into the landscape, begining to fade All of nature begins to appear a digital simulation that God has made Rick A. far reaching, descriptive comes to mind from reading this. (Can we catch all the granules of time that spill into the landscape, begining to fade All of nature begins to appear a digital simulation that God has made) last verse and ending works |
