alone in the shadows of solemnity faces turning corners of the mouth people fleeing without ever seeing those who walk the shoulders heading south covered in the shades of ambiguity places as destinations in a vow promises unkempt by unseeing shadow-walkers knowing not how feeling the where, but not with certainty spaces becoming filled with life's void patterns drawn without lines, without being casting presence like forgotten celluloid as collective kaleidoscope shadows turn in the wheelhouse of the mind forgotten, alone |

When I walked the valley of deep despair, I too, was a "shadow-walker". Thankfully I now walk on mountain-tops where the sun shines ever so brightly! ![]() "as collective kaleidoscope shadows turn in the wheelhouse of the mind forgotten, alone" ~ Excellent write! Sending a loving hug your way, Linda ![]() |

Very impressive work, dear Steaven. Loved every stanza, but like Linda, I felt the greatest emotion when reading the last two lines. Love, Margherita |

Hope all is well with you my poet friend. Each line struck a chord, the hollowed out places that were once so sure...all we knew then, and all we know now. Well done. |

Linda, thank you so very much for your comments AND your obvious concern...it turned a little darker than I had intended, for I simply wanted to paint a picture of loneliness and do it within a certain framework of form...thank you for the cheery reply Margherita, thank you for reading and liking...that is such a compliment...I was going to change the last two lines...perhaps it is good that I didn't TD, thank you...and ALL is well, really...thanks for your kindness...I appreciate your comments...just glad you liked it... Dark, even your comments are deep... ![]() |

At least in the shadows we can see the light more clearly. I love how you paint. H |

I know exactly how it feels to be alone. Somtimes it is very depressing. |
