we didn't speak of the music's hand
how it seemed to slip up our seams
and touch our heart canvas without wind

yet yes, there were billowing sounds
within the sky of our lover's ribs

I often looked at and into your eyes
almost as often as you turned away
and gave yourself into the afternoon

pressing your face into quiet places
so I couldn't know the way of your mind

you touched me when I wasn't looking
and I touched you when you were
so the blushes came onto your skin

like a new dress that was mostly unread

DS: This is a delicious, forbiddingly temptatious read, that had me right on that edge. I even love the title. Keeping this one.

Sometimes, it feels as though you are describing what most would call my own flaws. Giving myself to something much more than human touch. Then again, whether visible or not, the sun is always there isn't it?

Great write. Loved it, as usual. =)

How beautifully coy she is. And how beautifully you have told me so.

Tall, dark, and handsome, your poems have some of the most intriguing titles! ~ and what always follows suit, is mighty intriguing, as well! i.e.

"you touched me when I wasn't looking
and I touched you when you were
so the blushes came onto your skin"

Your mind captures your heart and viceversa and the result is again awesome ...

Music has a way of doing that, doesn't it? *S* If ever I lose one of my senses (instead of just my mind *G*)... I hope that loss doesn't deny me music... for surely my blood would cease to flow. *S*

And uh... sorry 'bout that... I got sidetracked. *G* But it's your fault for layering your lines so wonderfully. *nodding innocently*

you touched me when I wasn't looking
and I touched you when you were
so the blushes came onto your skin

I wanna write like you when I grow up. *S* Fantastic! *S*
