This was written some years ago but still "me" - still drifting and still waiting to "sprout" ... ![]() I am part a truth, part a lie, the seed of womanhood I wonder why unanchored I float like old driftwood I hear there is a place where truth appears as truth I see there is no map or everlasting proof I want to reap rewards for pain I have withstood I am part a truth, part a lie, the seed of womanhood. I pretend I have a preference for the human part of me I feel internal energy demanding to be free I touch the deep unknown and pure love soul to soul I worry for earth’s future in evolution’s hold I cry for little children and the legacy we leave I am part a truth, part a lie, the seed of womanhood. I understand that seeds sprout upward to the light I say the sky is grey to those with no insight I dream of honesty and the righteousness of men I try to not condemn my naïveté of then I hope to be remembered for doing what I could I am part a truth, part a lie, the seed of womanhood! Thanks Ida and Lindsay. I also understand that seeds don't sprout without attention and although my own garden may be somewhat neglected, there are others out there that have grown beautifully - think I left all my "tools" with them. ![]() Helen |

Dear Helen, this was a great read and makes me want to reach out with a big tender hug for who you are. A wonderful person, who writes great poetry and uses her reasoning mind, as well as the heart in perfect balance. Beautiful you! Love, Margherita ![]() |

![]() A sprout? I think you are blooming beautifully. Somehow, that saying, "What you see is what you get," only addresses the viewers opinion, but nearer the truth is, "What you see is not what I am," (Wayne Dyer) indicates so much more. In a "WORD", you are Woman Of Royal Decree! ![]() |

Thank you all so very much. The cycle of life - grow, blossom, wither, die. Makes one wonder what the point of it all is but we're stuck with it nevertheless. Not sure I'd be happy to choose it again if a choice was offered. This is a world where nothing and no one is what they appear to be. I'm tired of the farce. Helen |
