Forbidden Love

So high up in the tallest trees,
amidst the ever-loyal leaves,
enveloped in softened, emerald peace:
there lies a forbidden love,
safe, in a cradling breeze.

High above unwelcome intrusion;
unfettered by terrestrial confusion.
Accessible, alone, to a passing
aquiline messenger, alighting
with persistent respect, to grace
the mind with thoughts of another,
whose love also haunts such a place.

A shared love of silent understanding
that can never be spoiled,
for it remains untested
by the passion-slaying trials
of boredom and routine familiarity.
It caresses thoughts, in the silence,
like a loving whisper on a lonely night;
spans a chasm so vast.
Yet, they may never again embrace,
and love only in thoughts,
so high and untouched, above.

Ethereal feel to this one.  Welcome to passions. I hope that at some point, that genuine tenderness is courageously tested.
I believe in what stands the test of time.
Enjoyed this perspective

Welcome to passions~

Remember, nothing is forbidden, it just
takes a little more effort to get it
and if its yours, it will come to you , sooner or later~
