The important thing
it is not
what you think
of the rose,
nor
of what the rose
thinks of you,
the important thing
it is
what you think of yourself
when you are
close to
the rose .

Hmmm, a little ponderin' poem!

Well, methinks that I be bigger than a rose but perhaps I mightst be about half as sweet as one! lol

A most thought-provoking poem, but I beg to differ. It is always what you think of the rose that is important....always. I yield to the roses's thoughts on me.

Hello Osprey, thanks for the pertinent comment,we can consider that the rose think of what you think so you are right what matter is what you think of her...But I think it can't last and at a certain point you have to think of yourself..I hope not being too much confusing. My poem took a position but I effectively know that one position can't stand forever...However thank you for the kind comment.

Very poignant. People are like that too.
If that is the way you were using it...Nice metaphor.

Hi Yann,
Lovely this, so very true it’s always good to consider and view things in different perspectives. Great minds always differ from common ways that’s why they were unique and great.

Interesting thought, yann, and I must say,
I agree. You gave the rose something to think about.

This reminds me of something I read about the measure of love not being how you feel about the person... but how you feel about yourself when you're with them. *S*

I like it very much! *S*

Oui, tu as raison.

I like the thinking that goes along with this...your creativity spawns reflection (and that is certainly a nice thing)

Thanks a lot steavenr, I am glad you appreciated the poem, I agree with you that there is matter of reflection. We have to be reasonnable sometimes and take distance with our own thoughts.

have a great day.
