After the small talk, "Whatcha been up to?" "Not much" and "Same ol' same ol' " It's the same ol' same ol' "She sure aint nothing like my ex wife" Five years since she passed away "Is she supposed to be?" His lowered brow said, "huh?" "Like your ex wife?", I asked W-D 40 is good for loosening nuts, but rum works wonders at loosening the tongue. His tongue flaps freely in the hot air from his lungs, but the hot air is the same ol' same ol' Always the same, after the customary "She's constantly on my case" It seems his new wife has the tongue of Lilith, aimed like Lamech's arrow at the heart of the beast. I tend to think like that, when drinking rum "She says I drink too much" "You do", I thought, but did not utter Due to the fact that he always buys "I really wanted this to work", he weeps My brain says, "No, you didn't" "You wanted what you had" All I said was, "The love is dying" and added that it all made perfect sense "It is as they say", I say "Never plant a new rose in an old roses' grave" He pours us another drink It's the same ol'same ol' but, the fourth drink is better than the first. *** |

Very sad. Maybe it would be better if one planted morning glories or sunflowers where the roses once grew. Rum really is a powerful tongue loosening drink. |

Maybe he shouldn't water the rose with rum. Just a thought. Ida |
