She let her head back and laughed in delicate abandon Eyes so luminous he wanted to get lost within them Brushed her hair aside with her hand and he felt he died So much feeling welled up inside him that he almost cried Life so intense inside her and a spirit of untamable will A soul of such strength that even time cannot kill She yearns for something that she cannot express And speaks in a voice that she’s learned to suppress One by one they fall, the excuses she learned to accept Until nothing remains and only one thought is left That of him so far away, to be with him and oh so near To hear whispers just for her planted in her golden ear Promises of sense shattering mind altering love from him If only she would give herself to delicate abandon |
