Reliving, in memory, those days that were good. The reflections of our wonderful childhood. The smiles and the laughter were always there. You had so much love to go around and share. We always could go and cry in your arms. And count on you to protect us from harm. With affection and compassion you taught us to live. And how to love one another and how to forgive. The gentleness of your touch and the warmth in your eyes, Made it so difficult for us to say our good-byes. You left us crying and in great pain. And in our hearts you will always remain. So we come to you on this special day of mothers, To sit and talk by your side and bring to you some flowers. To tell you how much you are loved and missed. Though you are gone, you will always exist. (A tribute to my mom who passed away just before Mother's Day last year) |
