we wrote those stories in our minds
and exchanged them as screen plays
for each other to pretend to get into
as actors trying to get their parts right

yours were already, even from the beginning
but you had your doubts on partially
until I found their buttons and ruined them
so you couldn't ever wear them again

or anything else much, actually
because nothing would go with my mind
unless it was just you being you
and we said everything needed to match

Truth is - buttons are really over-rated anyway and the only real use they have is to be pushed. God knows mine are easy enough to find and push away on. You know I like this.

I always have to choose my favorite lines when I read your works. This was no exception. Finally decided on this:
