Painting by Teresa Carter

Be still my gentle lover's heart,
Each beat you have given,
Though we may be so far apart
Across oceans riven.

Your words, softly they call to me
And draw me close to you,
I feel your breath across the sea
Borne by the love of you.

Your touch brushing a soft caress
Across my brow in sleep,
Each kiss of luscious lips you press
I shall forever keep.

My words, they now give flight to love
To fly the cold water,
So they mayhap reach from above
Beauty's truest daughter.

God above, grant us wings of fire
To ride the wind in flame,
I burn like the sun, in desire
And hear you call my name.

A chorus of agony from heaven and rain poured in a colossus of angel's tears.

Luke....Luke.....(whispers upon the wind)

You astound me, soul touching words, a very excellent piece of art to enhance the beauty of your words even more, bringing them to life...

"Luke, Luke..." The wind is calling your name.
You are such a fine writer of romance. Each poem is a piece of finely-crafted art from your heart.

Thanks Linda. Such high praise from a master wordweaver such as yourself means a lot to me.
