He isn't planting the garden this year. Things simply fell apart. I don't even feel like drinking, no place here to harvest the heart, no desire to pick up and start. This is the last dream of mine that I will have to hold, just to watch it die because things got old. Winters have been much too cold. The dusk comes in many colors; purple, orange, blue, and pink, the horizon changes just that fast and it's black right when I blink, it doesn't matter what I think. I will not risk to plant the garden nor conceive another dream, for I have some kind of virus, it seems all I touch is sure to die and fade away like the Arkansas sky. |

I will not risk to plant the garden nor conceive another dream, for I have some kind of virus, it seems No... I know that pain and know what the siren call to do nothing so you won't have to hurt sounds like... but you'll take the risks and dream the dreams... to not do so is to lie down in the cemetery and wait for grass to grow over you and that's not you... you may go down, but you'll go kicking and fighting, not giving up. *S* |

Plant some herbs and flowers in pots, keep them close outside the window or on the porch where you can see them and care for them daily. Scatter wildflower and sunflower seeds when the ground warms. Taking care of growing plants will also tend to your spirit-needs. |

In reading this poem, I feel the sadness of defeat. "My Garden won't grow so why should I try?" "The answer is always no, until the question is asked" Will it grow? Can I do it? Is it in me to try? Will I accept failure before I try to suceed? Well will you? "I don't think so" The only garden that would not grow was one not planted. You plant the seeds, and if needed, We will nurture, feed, oversee and, we will tend to the harvest, That's what friends are for. Ms, Gardner. You Plant those seeds. OK? Tracey. |

first let me thank you each, strong people you are! Encouragement is wonderful! As good as faith! I am blessed to have you reading. I will plant those seeds indeed. And even though I was talking about veggies and fruits, I sure think it would be a fine thing to have some wildflower colors around here! (along with some purpose for living life each day) Kacy, yes, spirit needs, and it needs color! Thank you |

Aw c'mon you plant seeds of thought everytime you post here. Most of them grow into shared feelings and sprout new avenues of travel through the minds of your peers. Write em up and I'll read em everytime I get a chance and so will others. You're never as alone a you think you are. Read Kacy's woodpecker story and open your eyes to your own existence as a gift shared with many many other living things. There's always sunshine after rain. Take care Eric |
