I feel time slipping away
and the dizziness
that accompanies
the changes
stripping me
of sureness,
blocking the mind-thoughts
that use to spring
into action.

Gathering the "use to/s"
packaging and suitcasing them
in the knowledge
that everyone
does not have
a tomorrow...
and this is not
"just another day."

Tomorrow is an illusion, while today is for real.
I enjoyed absorbing the deep thoughts in this write.

I can relate!

But than today is all we have, we must make the best of it indeed.

Love and hugs.

Good point Maureen.
All should think the same way.
A little older and a little wiser but there are things that shouldn't be missed like they have been already.
So well worded is this expression of reflection.

Oh, lady... this went straight to my heart... my tear ducts sprang into action before I finished the first verse.

I do understand... {{{{{HUGS}}}}}

actually friends, I have been feeling  rather dizzy lately ( no  jokes please )
and this was all that came to mind as I spent the weekend, worrying and resting and wondering all those "what ifs".

By the way, never use the internet to check out your symptoms...

Maureen - another great write, but puzzling to me. I'm hoping that things are well with you...

M~

Your poetry always speaks to me, and this is no exception.   I started thinking back to when I wasn't a dizzy brunette!  When I regressed to age eight, I remember spinning under the ten foot ceilings of the farmhouse, trying to spin one or two more circles more each time.  There came to the point of losing "balance"!  Then, it was fun to swing the arms out trying to regain balance before gravity pulled its weight!

As an adult, I find myself losing balance in everyday hats and shoes.  For some reason or other, it seems a little more taxing to gain balance than at age eight!   Maybe I should throw my arms to the wind and let it be the stabilizing force, eh?

I haven't had the desire to write for sometime because I couldn't think of anything to write about.  Your poem has brought back a fond memory of playing that may just spark a poem.  Thank you!  Now all I have to do is find a time to write.  I do so miss having time to visit here.

  Take care,

   misce.

Awwww Maureen! I thought I had already replied to this, but don't find my reply. I'm sorry.

I hope you find out what is wrong, soon. I know how scarey those things can be. I've had some symptoms, that were scarely to me, too.
