Daffy little daffodils each and every one Stupid little daffodils blooming in the sun Daffy little daffodils don't care 'bout rising prices Stupid little daffodils have no economic crisis Daffy little daffodils never dig nor delve Stupid little daffodils don't fear two thousand twelve Daffy little daffodils don't vacation in Bermuda Stupid little daffodils never search for Buddha Daffy little daffodils common sense escapes them Stupid little daffodils don't hate the bee that rapes them Daffy little daffodils don't know Barack Obama Stupid little daffodils don't care 'bout Octomama Daffy little daffodils they never fuss or fight Stupid little daffodils They don't care what I write Daffy little daffodils each and every one Stupid little daffodils blooming in the sun *** |

I guess daffodils are happy being just the way they are but they do have to dig and delve to stay upright and alive. It's true that they don't care what you write but you do and I do and many others do so why should they bother?  They may be stupid but there's beauty in stupidity if it keeps one free from useless cares. Enjoyed the read - will probably dream of a host of golden daffodils now.Helen |
