For 29 years now, March 17th has been sad, because March 18th was when my mother put a bullet in her head 1980 plays over and over again. I am Irish some. But I have been numb. And I don't care about green stuff anymore and Irish tradition anyhow, the songs play over in my head and I'm realizing what is NOW. And now sucks. |

Dixie, what a horrific ordeal for you. I cannot even imagine how devastating that must have been. St. Patrick's Day (March 17) is the anniversary of my beloved nephew Chad's disappearance on Lake Ontario along with 5 of his friends. Their bodies have never been found. Chad always called me his second Mom. We absolutely adored each other. My sister had already lost a daughter ~ Kelly Marie Louise. As difficult as these losses have been for us, we carry on. ~ for life is for the living. I'm truly sorry for what you have experienced. That kind of pain never goes completely away, but we must release it and carry on. I wrote a poem once, entitled "Earth Life Ain't Easy" ~ Ain't that the truth! Linda |

Dixie (and Linda!)... I'm so very sorry for the anguish you've suffered. Sometimes, there just isn't an explanation. |
