I was.
Rain
came to me
I know.
Rain.
Let it be.
I was
there-
Somewhere
you don't know.
Rain came down,
but I let it go....

And the sand in the eyes
keeps you from tomorrow
Running from the wind
with all that you've borrowed
When the land in your eyes
rises up before you
Take another road.
Take another.
Go on home...

I was.
Sun,
in the light
I know.
None
ever get it right.
I was
where
you think you are now
I know
the sun-
I know
how this goes down.

I was.
Lost in the tune,
watching under the bridge
Lost on the moon,
wondering when you'll give in.
Lost in the way,
It all goes to hell,
yeah.
It all goes away.
It all fades when it begins...

I was.
I have.
Not much to say.
Not that it matters,
out here in the rain
I was.
I'm not.
I am.
Tomorrow,
you'll find the words,
We'll mind the sorrow....
