truth probably doesn't go
door to door; soft spoken,
roughed up into pamphlets.

doesn't spend time in primetime,
or make a show of reality
(and will never answer
in the form of a question.)

I've been told,
truth
slides into history
on the far side of a cloud,
placed there by inconspicuous poems.

But what I absolutely do know -

truth
is a waterboy
in frantic foxholes - a nice to have
but a first to go,

and a rabbit running
from bush to hole,

and the voice of the grandmother
that you don't really know,

and the smile on the sun
an inch before you notice
but a breeze
before you're gone.

I like this so much!

"truth
is a waterboy
in frantic foxholes - a nice to have
but a first to go,

and a rabbit running
from bush to hole,

and the voice of the grandmother
that you don't really know,"

really enjoyed this

Hi SkaaDee

Welcome to PIP.

I liked this and there's a lot of truth here.

I'm more of a returnee,
kind of the prodical son type.

I haven't posted her for a while
but I love to lurk.
