The sounds outside bring me back to life, the cold air is squeezing at my throat. Tears freeze as they hit the snow, you are my memory that I cannot let go. Wishful thinking led me down the broken path again, maybe it would all be easier if I'd played pretend. Wind is howling as I wait for it to carry your voice, my throbbing heart keeps a steady beat, the bass in this empty song. My fingers grasp at the nothingness, my lips are cold and blue. Moving on is the only thing to do. My choking sobs grow softer, the sun begins to rise. You are in my past, still above the surface, never to be buried, yet concealed. My eyes begin to close, heavy with the salt they created for you. Time is my angel, I drift away dreaming of tomorrow, remembering yesterday. |

Sara~ The sorrow is felt here ...~ Yet your closing lines - 'Time is my angel, I drift away dreaming of tomorrow, remembering yesterday' - is soft, lovely and holding on to so much hope for what tomorrow will bring~ Lovely sweetie~ *Huglets* ![]() ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ Email - [email protected] |
