I am just a poem, nothing more and nothing less, Letters of the alphabet is all that I possess, I have no car, no home, no money, I cannot laugh if things get funny. I do not eat, I do not drink, I have no brain with which to think, No arms, no legs, no eyes that see, Some words that rhyme, is all I be, A piece of paper is my stage, Typed out words upon a page, From a keyboard I am born, Onto the screen I then adorn, Of just one thing I have a fear, When his finger gets too near, That infernal key that means defeat, Please don't hit that darned delete! |

LOL, I've never considered how the poem might 'feel' about the delete key. Hmmm, maybe I will have to be more thoughtful and just stick the not-to-be-posted writes in a just-in-case-it-has-potential folder? Thanks for the grin. |
