Bones In The Big House |

The car with the cold, cracked, vinyl back seat is an older car. Bones notices that it’s not in good condition. The car takes Bones out of town, down a long dirt road. It turns up a long driveway, and stops in front of a very large, very dark house. “Yo Mister, is this where you live?” “Yes boy, this is where I live. Come on out of the car now.” The man leads Bones into the house. It’s dark and cold in the house. The man turns on the hall light bulb, hanging from an electric cord in the hallway. “Yo Mister, does anyone else live in this house?” “No boy, I live alone here. Does that bother you boy?” “No, that’s no problem Mister, I was just asking.” Suddenly Bones hears a woman’s voice calling— “Jason, is that you Jason?” Bones thinks that’s very odd, however, Bones isn’t there to ask questions. Bones doesn’t want to queer his chances for making as much money as possible. So he just keeps quiet. Bones is led to a door in the wall. The man opens the door, and turns on the lights to a large room, done in red vinyl covered overstuffed furniture. Bones is instructed to sit on a large throne like chair mounted on a high round platform in the middle of the room. The man sits on a stool in front of Bones, and just watches him. Once again, Bones thinks that’s very odd, but who is Bones to question. After three solid hours of staring, Bones is paid a “C” note, and taken back to his corner where the man had picked him up. Bones had no reason to be frightened at all. It was an easy night. Bobby [This message has been edited by Robert E. Jordan (03-07-2009 11:45 AM).] |

Sounds spooky to me,reads like am old horror movie. Better than a modern horror movie though. Bones is a brave boy. Ida |

Thanks dear Ida, For the kind words on this poem. Bones has no choice about being brave. He does whatever he has to to stay alive. Love Bobby |

Extravagant behaviour is the least one can say. No doubt Bones has met a lot of strange people and learned much about human weaknesses. Good job, dear Bobby. Love, Margherita |

Bones had a book or two in him, to be sure! ~ and we're getting to read them through you, dear Bobby! That scenario would have freaked me out! I agree with Ida in that it appeared to be right out of a horror movie! EA |

Thanks dear Margherita, Yes, you are correct, Bones met many strange people in his short life, and of course, he was an advanced student in the study of human weaknesses. Love Bobby |

Thanks dear Linda, You are correct. Much of Bones short life could have been made into a horror movie. Love Bobby |

You had me worried... I was afraid this wouldn't end well cause so many nights don't for him... but it did. *S* I just wish more of Bones' nights were so easy! *S* |

Thanks dear Suthern, For the good wishes for Bones. I too wish Bones nights were easier. However, it's a sad fact that both Bones nights and days are not good at all. Bones has a very rough, and sad life. Love Bobby |

enjoyed this...captivating...for some reason as I read, Norma Desmond's role (from Sunset Strip) began playing in my mind...that same 'creepy' persona I suppose...anyway, nicely done...exceptionally descriptive |
