My mother was a puzzle within a puzzle. Clinging to the web of life though she feared the spider. A motherless child, a product of her grandmother's fears and superstitions. As complicated an individual as my father. Ida Werrrett [This message has been edited by Marchmadness (03-05-2009 09:11 PM).] |

Yo dear Ida, This is an interesting piece. Two parent families can be very complicated. Love Bobby |

It seems couples find each other because they are similar. Life is complex and complex individuals multiplicate the complexity most certainly! But see these parents' offspring Ida, what a wise and beautifully sensitive woman she is and what an original Poet! So I would say they did a great job with you. Love, Margherita |

Thank you all for the wonderful comments. I was going though some albums and thinking how I only have one or two old pictures of my parents because they would not allow themselves to be photographed. My mother's mother died when she was young and she was raised (to 14) by her Scottish Grandmother who was a midwife and healer. The old ways mixed with religion. Her father was native American (which added some more interesting cultural flavor to the mix). My father was another long and complicated story. |

Parents are a puzzle. This is good, Ida, and fitting for today. Happy Mother's Day to you and thank you for sharing pieces of you with us. Love, Alison |
