I am she... who sits in silent reverie 'neath windswept trees that wave at passers-by in the Garden at Auvers. I am she... who stands in wheat fields watching blue-black crows fly over amber waving grains, watching you. I am she... who feels the brushstroke of you within each passionate hue of yellow-gold, starry midnight blue, the colors of eternity. I am she... who breathes deeply the essence of you, listens to the sounds colors make as they echo throughout the universe for all eternity. I am she... who sits in silent devotion, forever in awe of you, the master artist of emotion who painted art from the heart. |

Very nicely done! I like your structure, I think it reinforces the wording, making it more powerful. Excellent images, too. I, unfortunately, am she who babbles constantly and never truly listens to the author, who never looks closely at the artist's painting. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |

another fine 'write'! I am particularly fond of: "listen(ing) to the sounds colors make as they echo throughout the universe for all eternity." significant applause for this 'penning'!! |

And you are she who lights up Pipsters' lives while gravely ill, and who explodes our happiness with sunflower exuberance news, and who quivers our starry night emotions with breathless awareness. If Vincent were still alive, he would be humbled at his paintings splashed into your exquisite poetry. Owl |

I tend to be a miserable companion in a museum... for I see and walk and rarely pause for long. *S* But... there are times when I'm stopped in my tracks and literally get lost in a painting. Van Gogh's do it to me every time and I applaud the consideration of places that have benches in front of his works. *S* I need another bench for your poem... so I can enjoy it again and again... so into my library this goes! *S* |

WW, Eric, Suthern lady..Thank you! suthern, I know exactly what you mean. A few years ago, a security guard almost threw me out of the Denver Art Museum when I got 'a wee bit too close' to van Gogh's "Entrance to the Garden at Auvers" painting. (I almost touched it.) I sat on the bench for a long long time breathing it in, tears streaming down my cheeks, staring at the master's work. |
