My lover, as I drink your breath
I can taste your wish for death,
This bitter draught of lust's solace
Glistens upon lips I kiss.

If I am fire then are you air
To absorb the warmth I share?
To draw away, again grow cold
and return to flames so bold?

Will you not stay, forever burn?
Love from need can you discern?
So will you not forever be
Ablaze within ecstasy?

Never sigh for a better world, it's already composed, played and told.
