Lov-in The Rain Strolling hand in hand, The warm summer breezes, Carried sweet sents of Jasmine & Pine, We knew as we wandered, That we had not a care, As the day disappeared with out time, In a small meadow, We stopped by a stream, And lay in a field of tall grass, Fluffy clouds drifted over, Then it started to sprinkle, We wondered how long it would last, But the sky got heavy, And the rain poured down, We had nowhere to take cover, So we shed our clothes, And danced in the deluge Drenched in this love for one another, Thunder rumbled, Wind howled round us, We fell down in each other’s arms, And knew there was no, Better way to make love, Engulfed in the power of the storm, We bathed in wet passion, And touched hot wet skin, As our bodies from two became one, The pounding of, The rain and our hearts, As fierce as when we’d begun, Then the rain slowly passed, As we embraced, Washed in the thrill of this bliss, And the sun peaked out, As it set for the night, We sealed our rendezvous dream with a kiss. The answer is always NO, Until the question is asked. |

i hate rain. it makes poems soggy. if it rains anymore i'll drown in the Sea of Cliche. You seem to write well. Use your talent open new doors, not show us old windows. |

Thanks Linda, So Glad you liked it. Tao, You make me laugh, Nothing worse than a soggy old cliche. This was written for a good friend that likes the rain and going for walks in the great outdoors, Enjoying the gifts of Mother Nature. I don't know about the rest of the story, It may open new windows, though. Thank you both for your kind comments. |

I love rain, there is some kind of intimacy with the rain, after all we are made of water too, up to 70% of our body!! And when love is there, it just becomes perfect. A lovely romantic "wet" poem. Love, Margherita |
