Life is a mosaic. Fragments of life-moments rendered trompe l'oeil, bits and pieces, past and present juxtaposed; concave, convex, or flat, jagged edges alongside smooth, earthen grout in between to fill the memory voids, offering reflective freedom of imagination. Life is a mosaic a full spectrum array of light and dark, saffron and sapphire, sap-green to charcoal gray; an exuberant symphony of sounds, each in it's own band-width of space-time, from machinery and human voices, rushing waters and gentle rainfall to chirping birds and humming insects, interspersed with mouthfuls of palette tingling tastes from sweet to bitter. Life is a mosaic. Release your unique spirit into the tesserae, allow your being to come forth and share it's inner song. Life is a mosaic. |

"jagged edges alongside smooth," so very true, Kacy. And we are all those pieced together learning to make the best of it all. ![]() M |

Indeed. Sometimes those jagged edges leave a deeper impression in our memory banks... like a concave hole begging to be filled. Hope you have a pleasant day, Maureen. |

fascinating take on the Universal matrix! I find the ending particularly fine: "Life is a mosaic... Release your unique spirit into the tesserae, allow your being to come forth and share it's inner song." MUCH applause for this most interesting 'penning'! |

Tesselated is that like multi colored tiles that make up a pattern? Very very nicely done Midnite. Life is certainly a mosiac when you look at it that way. I lost in this and enjoyed it. Eric |

Lovely, Kacy. Yes, we sometimes don't understand why a certain piece goes where it does - until later . . . ![]() Owl |

Kacy, I used to do trompe l'oeil, and used to think how easily the human eye and mind can be fooled. Were I a mosaic, I doubt somehow I would show all the shades of my glass to be honest. This was a spectacular poem - It is "fer sure" a keeper. Carpe' Diem, |
