BROTHER Standing close to myself I feel awkward, unsure of my intentions The intangibles defer amongst themselves Cueing off each other Barely responding to brother Feeling lost around them I gaze at wind and sun Seeing their benign inventions How freely they come and go Brother goes on with his life Trying to communicate Ambitions clouding loyalties Dancing with shadows Sparring with sullen society Standing close to myself I miss the mirror image Scent provides sight Sight provides sound Listening to brother, listening to me |

"Dancing with shadows Sparring with sullen society" Good lines, Rick. Perceptive write, offers the reader space for pondering. |

I like it Rick. Thought stimulating without getting too ridiculous. Sometimes we really don't know ourselves do we? I like improvisational jazz but I don't like it when it goes too far off track. Then it's only the players that get the meaning and joy. Eric |
