Eavesdrop Percussion Icicles extend in gleeful raindrop sound Long and lean, their crystal spears, thaw to touch the ground The quickening of time, spent in worshiped sighs Once a hardened truth leans toward softer lies Capturing the sun, dilute of flame or boil Clear articulations wet the sovereign soil Rhythmic vanities, slip in joyful sum Once the force of mighty cold, puddles to become Listen to the way of winter passing on Clear and resolute, to beat in certain drum A delicate command, the slightest turning point How quiet is the power pure, that nature does anoint So too, does melt to flow, as subtle pulse to course Once in winter sleep, heard as forth it pours Copyright Kkh 2/17/09 |

I'm feeling the slow but promise of a thaw of your poetry soon to make mush out of an old man's winter heart |

An enjoyable read, K. I am really ready for ol' man Winter to take a hike. |
