Can't you read between the lines? Or are you all too busy struggling in the plastic six-pack nooses? The spilled oil greases their hands But the ozone umbrella of security that used to block the dangerous UV rays of truth is disintegrating as pollutants are pumped into our minds Soon enough the euphoria of blindness will fade As we see through the drugs In the bloodstream of the world And if people ever come around, If we al just use just a little more of the intelligence we're born with Maybe Just maybe We can be happy |

Hey SysDecay! I'm not a big fan of freeverse so it's hard for me to critique this poem. I have to say my favorite of your would have to be "What if..."! Personally while I don't approve of everything in the society, I let other people live the way they want to. I know what I have my own beliefs and nothing else matters! Instead of trying to change others, I try to live life to the fullest with those that understand me! "All in all is all we are..." (Cobain) |
