He saw a face peeping out of the window Looking sad, forlorn and alone. He was struck by her face. How it gave him a memory of long ago. "Daddy! Daddy! Will you come home early for me?" He shook his head briskly And went out the door. As he was walking out the door, He realized he had forgotten something. When he turned around, he saw her face. Sad, forlorn and alone. He remembered. He went back, kissed his child And spun her around. Her laughter in the air. The memories now fading. He looked back and saw the girl. He kissed her on the cheek And spun her around. Her laughter in the air. |
