I walked outside on a warm, sunny day.
There was color everywhere, yet it felt so grey.

Children were screaming, and running about.
While others were crying and putting up a good pout.

Couples were everywhere, hugging and kissing.
It made me think of what I've been missing.

Bees buzzed and birds flew through the sky.
Elders sat on their porch and watched traffic go by.

The color of the sky was the darkest blue.
It reminded me of looking into the eyes of you.

I walked past the cemetary on my way home.
I looked around and saw i was alone.

I was walking out the gate as something caught my eye.
I saw your grave and I started to cry.

"I want you back, I miss you so."
I said my last goodbye and decided to go.

I got off my knees and took one last look, and I closed the gate with hands that shook.

OH MY GOD... That is so sad. I have never had to deal with the death of a friend or parent or siblings. I hope I never have to.
I love this poem. I have to print it and add It to my cork board with all the other poems that have touched my heart. Good work. Keep it up.
