"Look harder" why do you laugh? do i look like a clown? am i here to amuse you? then why do I wear his eternal frown? i consider myself a mistake. why did god put me in this world, when all i do is get punished for the decisions i make. when people look at me, a joke is all they see. but all i really want, is to be taken seriously. a smile from me is only skin deep, and through my dry eyes, the tears try to creep. but I hold my pain and fears back, i keep them gnawing at soul, my heart they will attack. i beg of you to hear my painful cry, to actually let me speak my heart, and for you to trust that it’s not a lie i am supposedly an untrustworthy friend, i have screwed up two relationships, which now seem impossible to mend. . people tell me i bring it on myself, but when i try to be serious, it doesn't even help. i see my life as a two way street, i always seem to be going the wrong way, and everyones expectations I rarely meet. ive been told that god answers all prayers, are mine not being said loud enough, or does he just not care. i feel the breath gradully leaving my lungs, how long can I go on like this, how long is it until my last song is sung. i bleed red, but i cry black. i feel my anger is caused by the love i lack. i know i sound sick and twisted, but i wouldn't be like this if my parents would just take the time to listen. a nice pat on the back for a job well done, is all i want from my unloving family, a family where i can relate to no one. a joke is all im seen as at school, a place where i get so obsessed, trying to make myself feel cool. i don't want anyone to feel sorry for what they see. all i want is some understanding, someone who will look hard, and see the real me. ------------------ The Slim Shady. There is a wonderful song called,"some of gods greatest gifts, are unanswered prayers." and with this I want you to know that God is helping you more then aly of us will ever know. I know what it is like to not be taken seriously, to have everyone think that I am dumb, and so they never listened. Then they listened when I proved to all of them that I was just like them, if not better, with a better grip on reality. I want you to know that you are not alone, and that through your words you are letting little bits of weight off your shoulders. Keep writing, youare excedingly talented. hey in your poem he said that all prayers are answered. thats not true as a song states and words i live by "some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers" Jenn @------{------ |

The song, "Some of God's Greatest Gift are unanswered prayers." A song by Garth Brooks, and great singer, if you hate country your missing out, country has some of the most spirited singers and meaningful songs! and the song is "Unanswered Prayers!" I'm kind of dissapointed that, that line is the only people noticed. I only got 1 opion, and the rest telling me about a song.
