A small little package, handled with care. Held up triumphantly, won by a dare. He made the winning touchdown, scored the last basket, kicked the last goal, and told everyone else “You’re gonna get your a-- kicked.” He’s wearing a new pair of Nike’s, his beloved Polo shirt, his Hilfiger jacket, nothing scuffed with the slightest trace of dirt. He’s got the typical bimbo cheerleader on his arm, his teachers wrapped around his finger. he goes to the hippest parties, but doesn’t stay around long enough to let his reputation linger. He thinks he’s “all that,” but he doesn’t know what “that” is. And as for that little package (no, not THAT little package), he doesn’t know it’s there. He’s too entranced by life’s little pleasures, and those stupid obligations, like keeping the lawn mowed. So when he does have some time, he still doesn’t realize that his ego box has overflowed. |

Sounds like the classic jock, in all the movies to me. Cute, simple, to the point. I like. |

Personally, I do not like this poem. It was very well written, but i hate stereotypical topics like this one. I myself have had been stereotyped as this image, and it is not true it all. When you wrote this, I'm sure you had someone in mind. Well, think about how he would feel if he found out you wrote this about him. All I'm saying is that maybe you should "Look Harder" as a poem I posted a few days ago suggests. ------------------ "That's Rock Bottom When this life makes you mad enough to kill... That's Rock Bottom When you want something bad enough you'll steal... That's Rock Bottom When you feel you have had it up to here Cause you mad enough to scream but you sad enough to tear" Words by the Slim Shady |

Yeah, I know what you mean about stereotypes. I hate being put into them, too. It's just too common where I live. Everyone @ my high school (which is really tiny ass - about 350 ppl) falls into the stereotype, and it's not even just the guys. Ah well. Gotta deal. Thanks 4 your imput, Slim. Maitay, thanx 2u2.
