sometimes i feel like a lost cause
theres nowhere to turn
no point to hide
whether alone or in a crowd
im still lost
still without a cause
what makes me me and you you
that you got somewhere to go
and something to do
i run in circles
entrapped in a box of a mime
nowhere to go
no reason to hide
you couldnt see me
even if you tried
im hopeless i tell you
im a lost cause
cant you get it through you?
i rather burn in hell
die a bloody gruesome death
than live this life
never passing the test
im the one standing under the tree
hoping lightning strikes
dammit why couldnt it hit me!?!
i need not say goodbye
not even hello
cause im always here
with nowhere to go
im the lost cause
on the front page
of every magazine
and every book
then you turn the page
and cease to look
i stopped fighting
a long time ago
if death were upon me
id be thankful to go
im in that same place
where i started that day
realizing im the lost cause
and theres no other way
