Julies

It started slowly and nothing much
All of a sudden it was every touch.
As my face turned black and blue
That’s when I finally knew
That the words you said were filled with lies
And my fears started to rise.
When the red flowed from my face
It finally drenched the silk and lace
I fell down the stairs one to many times
Our whole lives played like mimes.
I never knew quite what to do
Because I really did love you.
At night I cried myself to sleep
Knowing I was in the lords keep
But in the morning with all it’s glory
I’d still have to make up another story.
Realizing it didn’t have to be this way
But I was the one who had to make it ok
So I walked out the door
Knowing we could be no more
That’s the day my life changed for the better
Untill I finally got your letter
I can’t come back don’t you see
Your the one who beat me.
