Boys will be boys
But before that
They sit around in prams
in woolly hats
With sticky chins
Waiting.

Boys who used to be boys
(i.e. old boys)
On the other hand
Sit around in pubs
Or on the upper decks of buses
With stubbly chins
Remembering.

Boys who are boys
Meanwhile
Just get on with it
