Me, Myself, and I

all the pieces of the puzzle
fit exactly into place
the marathon is almost over
yet who will win this race?

Me, myself, and I?
Or the double faced society?
The hypocrites surrounding
but i guess the hypocrites me.

I give advice to others
I'm backed up against the wall
slap myself in the face
and then i take the fall

it's real easy for me
to tell others what to do
but if they really knew me
then they would see the truth

a cowardly lion
without an ounce of courage inside
fearful of this world
lacking a sense of pride

wanting to hurt myself
yet trying to save others
not knowing what to do
looking for a cover

everything is a facade
I'm the real life Jekyll and Hyde
things are so confusing
running through my mind

but when i find the path
the true straight narrow line
it will lead me to myself
me, myself, and i.
