You know, I just kinda realized that this forum has been around since June or so, and that no one that posts here probably has any idea who the hell I am. Well, I'm Ryan. I'm 17 (two months till 18) and live in Shawnee, a Kansas side suberb of KC. I'm a senior in high school this year, and I really do write poetry. I've just been too lazy to post stuff recently. Also, I'm a very loose moderator. The only time I'll make any changes is when I receive a specific request, and then it's still up to my whims. Most stuff won't offend me, so just keep doing what you guys have been doing. And now it's time for me to eat dinner. Ryan Oh, I do use sarcasm a whole lot, so if anything I say offends any of you, remember that I probably don't really mean it. |

Uhm. Okay, I'll do this thingy too then. I'm Matt, I'm 18, have been writing all my life, poetry for about 7 years, good poetry for about 3 years. Hi, I'm Amber, almost 17, from a little hick town in oregon. I am infatuated with Texas. I really never wrote untill I was used by a guy who wrote awesome poetry, it just rubbed off. Now I write all my feeling down, whether they make sence or not. Wow, I never realized there were so many guys that wrote, you guys rock. Hi. I am Kyle. Short name, I guess... I am also a student of RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology). I'm 19, and this is my first year in college. I also read epic fantasy, I mean those really long books! 800+ pgs.. my two favorite authors are JRR Tolkien and Robert Jordan. Well this is too bad! I seem to have run out of things to say... what else should I say? All right.... I come from Oklahoma, a very beautiful state (I like plains), for it is my native soil. Hey!! Well My name is Taeira (bet ya couldnt guess that?)..and I'm 16 and I live way down in Australia...I've been writing poetry since...uh i dunno..dont remember exact dates!..but i guess it has mainly been since i started high school and had to deal with some real life issues. I don't really write rhyming poetry..actually I dont like it a whole lots coz i think when people write it they seem to concentrate so hard on finding words to ryhme that the real meaning and thoughst are kinda taken away from it..but that's just my opinion... I kinda tend to make my opinion on things known alot and it can get me into heaps of trouble...so..don;t take anything i say in this forum too personally..ok?? byebye |

Oh, what the hell, I guess I'll join in here.... Ok, My names Amy, and I reside in Ohio (population: inbred) j/k. I'm 15, and started writing this year. I've found that like talking your problems out, this is great therapy. But seeing as most of my poems are me venting on paper with fancy words to add a bit of glamour to my feelings (I'm always trying to take something plain and make it beautiful, although most people simply class my writing as disturbing), my poetry is often angry or depressing (or in some intsances, a bit psychotic )I really enjoy reading other peoples poetry too, I swear this is all I do all day. Hey,well as long and everybody else is gettin' cozy,I thought I'd join the fun. My name's Melissa,I'm from all around New York State,born in NYC.I've loved to read ever since I knew how.That grew to writing,first short stories and now I love poetry best.I've never written for anyone but myself although now there's a really special guy in my life so maybe I'll start.I just joined two or three days ago and I love it.Most of my poems are pretty depressing so far(although they're on Open Forum #2) because I just got out of about a year of severe dpression,but never fear,I'm ready to go now and my poems should start to get happier,although i can't guaratee the quality(they usually suck). Ah let me see here, I am 17, I will be 18 on November 4th, I like presents HEHE Anyways, I just got home today from a psych ward, so if any of you crazy people out there, want to try and kill yourselves, DONT, it aint worth it, unless, well um nevermind. dead poets society....woah!  well i know that this is quite different to our "profiles", so im going to do one which sounds more like the ones on this post. Hi!Im Cherish, and im 18 years old. I go to Sydney University and am doing my Second year in Bachelor of Education. I havent been writing very long, but i do like expressing myself through poetry.
