the white lights ethereal they say and i am an unreligous piece of shit the sun sets not for me so the streetlights suffice so at these times i just stare into the light grass to blanket the world coarse drought season can't be removed from a pastoral scene i know god and he is very mean i saw jesus once and he said "look what dad did to me." i pruned his thorns i touched his wounds and he told me a thousand frivolities ahhh the bible belt around my annorexic waist god said not to believe and i made haste the moon in the sky it's not for me a church steeple only holds its glow it's times like these i stare into the lights and relish in the shadow ------------------ "Come night, come darkness, for you cannot come too soon or stay too long in such a place as this."
