nothing stupid here. i am pretty close to tar river, the river that likes to flood, but the river was 4 feet below ave. before isabelle hit and ground saturation was low, but so far nothing so so bad. we do have flooding, but my apt. is on the second floor ![]() "For those who understand you, no explanation is necessary. last night...I went walking in the hurricane. it sounded like people were screaming and the road was flooded. I kept thinking that people were after me, but no. I didn't get the freakishly calm eye. so.. who has their storm stories? the hurricane ripped up my sunflowers...that was about the worst damage. And the angel said unto me, "These are the cries of the carrots, the cries of the carrots!" |

I love the hurricanes. I was born in one and I have lived through Andrew (Florida) and Fran and Floyd and um yeah alot that I cant remember because they werent big. I love them. While every one else is freaking out I enjoy it. I mean there is really nothing anyone can do to stop it, and if you are prepared then stop freaking out (thats my theory) Anyways, Isabelle was ok, no power outages, no trees down, no flooding, but the little town next to us still has no power. SO...anyways that was pointless rambling, but I got excited, so I just rambled. |

not so many horror stories from this one, just a tree on a car. FLoyd was much worse...flooding i mean from 1st to 10th street was under water, no power for days...issabelle was weak so much prep for nothing, nada, a little rain and wind some tree branches an such...ah bring on the big ones...and yeah i noticed no so much of an 'eye' i9n this one...oh well "For those who understand you, no explanation is necessary. Isabel was very hyped up. It was strange for a hurricane as it went right inland instead of hugging the shore, but for power, she packed a good punch, but no big wallops. A few did die from fallen trees and snapped power lines here and there, but New Jersey was pretty much clear. However, some small tordaoes came around New Jersey this morning. No deaths, I think, but thousands of outages and damaged homes. I never thought that tornadoes ever came in my state. I guess Mother Nature wanted to spice things up, lollz |
