        what is like to be me

  I was born with spina bifida and never thought i would be able to walk again. But i proved the doctors to be wrong now i sit  in my wheelchair and wonder if i will ever be able to walk without my walker. No one besides us that are in wheelchairs nows what  is like. You may say you know our pian but you really don't so next time you say that think what the person your saying it to might think.

We all want to be heard, but more than that..understood. I hear this. I can relate. Walk a mile is someone's shoes, and then you can say you know a little about what they are feeling, and experiencing, but even still you can't know all because *every* persons experience is not the same. There are lots of environmental issues that some may experience, and some may not. No one should *judge* anothers actions, because they've never been them. And we don't all process information with the same backgrounds of life exp's. Thanks for sharing.
