i'm sorry i didn't mean to make such a fuss. i'm just not very happy tonight. i'm a let down to my dad, i am a bad friend, and just a bad person. thanks but i am sorry if i made any of u worry see, my best friend is suicidal and i really have just ran out of ways to help him. my friends are talking about me behind my back. and guys are making stuff up about me i never even did or said. i just hate my life. sorry again, just had to let that out [This message has been edited by Strawberry Kisses (edited 11-17-1999).] |

Angel...Stop...take a deep breath and think about what I am about to say to you. 1) There is nothing you can do for your friend. Be there for him but the decision is ultimately his. You have NO responsiblity in it, If he takes his own life. 2) I am a parent and he might be disappointed with your choices but never with you. He will always love you so deeply and you will always be his child. You are valued much. 3) Those people talking about you behind your back are not your friends. Friends would not do that to you. Friends stand by you and comfort you. They give you strength not take it away. You have to value yourself for who you are. Always remember that you are human...therefore falable. As humans we can not help but make mistakes in our lives. Learn from the ones that you have made and be stronger for them. You always have friends here. I also want to thankyou for posting this. I have been feeling slightly depressed and unappreciated this evening. You have redirected my thoughts. In your discouragement you have helped someone else. |

Angel - No one could answer you more sensibly or sensitively than Marilyn has. How wonderful it is that you felt comfortable enough to reach out to your Passionate friends. As long as you feel you've done the best you can, be it for yourself, your friend, or your family; then feel good about yourself - All you can do is your best. They'll all love and respect you for it. I certainly do.. |

Marilyn's comments are right on. Let me add one point. I work in a hospital. Let your friend know that most would-be suicides end up in our emergency wards. Suicide isn't so easy. However he tries it, he's more likely to end up with broken bones, massive burns, messed up internal organs, parially-missing face, or lifelong mental degeneration . . . and that's only what has come in here this week. Most "suicides" then have to *live* with it, as well as their family and friends. Have him think about that! But whatever, it's *not* your fault! |

What can I say, you guys truly are the greatest. Over the past couple of months you have truly be come a family to me. I am sorry to give you all such a scare like that, but I just don't trust myself alone like that. Thank you all for your kind words and calm thinking, I wouldn't have made it without you. After all, it was reading your wonderful works that helped me most. Thank you all, I can't believe I found so much support I found in my Passion's family. So, SD, DreamEvil, PoetDeVine, Marilyn and your wonderful words of kindness, Nan, and Tedry (I do know about most attempted suicide attempts, in fact some of my friends have done it), I would like to thank each and every one of you, you guys are truly the best  . |
