In less than 30 days I start my 1st day as a Senior in high school. I just realized that I am not ready to be out in the world. I have never had a job other than babysitting and its scary to think that in June I will graduate. I don't know where I am headed. I can't afford college. What am I going to do? Once I graduate, I am supposed to move out within a month, I have that worked out I will be moving in with my boyfriend. But then what. I am so scared and worried. What should I do?

um... breathing is nice.... when you have lungs... I don't suggest breathing when you have gills. but I was breathing and I am still breathing and its not helping any! I am shivering in my sandals...(i'd say boots but I am wearing sandals) lol thanks

Maybe this year while you're in school, get a job on the weekends. This will help you earn some money, and then also once you graduate get a full time or part time job in the summer. You can also apply for internships at larger companies, which can set you up for higher paying jobs in the future.

As for college..have you considered applying for scholarships?

Sorry if this doesn't help..good luck though.

I agree with Lil....get a part time job....even if it's flippin' burgers...the world out there won't eat ya unless ya let it...think twice about moving in with a boyfriend....and work hard as hell in school this year and maybe even take a few courses in a community/jr. college towards something you'd like to do in your future...as you can afford it?..Good luck

Anything that you're willing to work hard on will come out rewarding in some way. You just have to be willing to look in places and in ways that your eyes are not used to looking. In some cryptic way.. I promise this makes sense.

Peace.

Everyone's hiring, they just don't always say so. I know that the place I work never has a help wanted sign up, but we get in new employees every month regardless. Just ask for applications everywhere you go. Even a really crappy job is still a job, and that's always a step in the right direction.

impress me, or be discarded

Enjoy it while you can.
I agree with some of the others.
Get a part time job and take your time in figuring out what
you want to do.....

save don't spend, get a backup place to live in case you and the boytoy don't make it thru the year, and don't forget to live it up while you can. this is your last chance to live in a world that expects nothing of you.

as for a job? army reserves....one weekend a month, two weeks a year, 6 months of promised active duty, and it pays better than mcdonalds. and it'll pay for college. national guard has a similar plan.

avoid Jr. college at all costs. (believe me. i go to one.) it's not the school (sometimes it is), it's the people that go there. (and i'm aware that includes me...)
but that's another rant entirely...

relax a lil more. you'll do just fine.

things balance out in the end, i believe. I just finished college, had a very bad year... my graduate project was a disaster , but life is for living, youth is on your side, go with what your gut tells you right.
Most importantly do what you feel is right for you at the moment.

Just remember that school and college arn't everything, even if people try and tell you that sometimes, try and concentrate on just having fun, and not knowing where you are going or what you want to do, well that can be the BEST part. Why don't you consider going travelling after you finish school, if i don't get into a good university that is what I'm gonna do, just get some job somewhere, save everything I can and head off, you can do anything, fruit picking in Australia, working on a kibbutz in Isreal, backpacking in Thailand, you never know where you may end up, well travelling may not be your thing but my point is don't stress, things always have a way of working themselves out. hope things work out for you
