Finally...we can relax....I've been having sporadic problems posting and replying for the last week....so I'm very glad we are now up and running again.

Yes, thank you all. I can read all this wonderful poetry again. I'm having some trouble with getting to a couple of forums, but I suppose these bugs will be killed in a couple of days.
Glad you're back and thanks for everything done. You're wonderful ! All of you !. : )

Munda, what kind of problem? Everything should be working, but I haven't had time to check all the forums. Which ones are you having problems with and what is it saying to you?

Hi Ron,

thanks for your quick reply. I have trouble getting into Poetry Workshop/Panthom Anyone ???. When I click it I get this message:Not Found

The requested URL /ubb/Forum22/HTML/000024.html was not found on this server.

I had it with several other forums aswell. I thought it would solve itself in a couple of days. Maybe my browser is a little bit (way too) old for all this new technology. LOL.
Thanks for looking into it. By the way, the search machine doesn't seem to work for me either....ARRGGHH ! It just isn't my day huh ?

Sorry, back again ! I also noticed that lot of the names say "unregistered" ?! Maybe only until they logged into the new server ?

Geesh - You'd think everyone was hovering over their computers - refreshing every five minutes - anxiously awaiting the unveiling...

This is superb!! We even have some elbow room...

Thanks, Munda! The 404 errors were from forums I, uh, accidentally skipped generating. Oops. Easy to fix. The unregistered users ain't so easy...

For those interested (yea, right), every single one of the threads is a static, HTML file generated by the system. When I was moving the forums from the old server to the new, I would regen the pages before I went back to get more. That was a mistake. As the system generates the thread it looks into the Members files to post their status (Member, Moderator, etc). Trouble is, the Members files were the last thing I moved over to the new server. So, when it generated a page and couldn't find the Member, it marked the status as unregistered. Ouch.

What that effectively means is that I have to regen all of the threads. And I've started that process even as I type. Sigh.

I jumped in here to warn everyone that if the system was running slow, that was the reason. I'm working it pretty hard at the moment. However, in jumping in here it doesn't seem at all slow to me, even with what I'm asking it to do behind the scenes. Oh, I think I'm going to like this machine!
