All my life everyone's been telling me the Highschool is suppose to be the best years of your life....NUH UH!!! Last year was hell and it looks like this year isnt gonna be much different..i hate my school and the people in it and i jus dont know how to deal sometimes!! I feel sometimes like im the only one who has this severe hate for it..everyone else acts as if they dont like it but i just completely HATE IT WITH ALL MY HEART!!!

Just venting everyone im sorry!

Ah, high school...the days that got away.
Secrets to surviving high school:
1. Rent all the pop high school movies you can and laugh at them all the way through because those people are not real.
2. Stay close to a small core of friends because they will be part of the best years of your life.
3. Be involved. Find something you like, and stick with it...me I was into theatre. IT helps pass the time and opens new doors for you.
4. Do not get caught up in other peoples troubles. What I mean is, follow your own way, don't be a carbon copy of someone else. I am not saying don't be supportive, just don't be them.
5. This is the big one. Stay out of trouble. Trouble is a snowball rolling down a hill. It starts with one thing and you cannot stop it from growing.
So, just some advice from an ex-teen, who grew up too quickly and wished she had followed her head when she was in high school.

Don't care what people say
Just follow your own way
Don't give up and use the chance
To return to innocence.

Ah Michele ... boy do I remember that well. Up to grade 8, I enjoyed it, then highschool came, and I felt so lost. The groups of kids I was used to were all spread around. It just didn't feel the same. It took me a while to get into it. I joined the volleyball team and a few other groups, and eventually ... I found a niche. Hang in there, and check out any activities that might be available ... you'll find a niche too.

Highschool definately is tough and i dont think i am anyone but myself...its jus not the place or atmosphere for me ya kno? Im much happier in a one on one type of situation then w/thousands of kids in my school passing me by as i walk...Thanks for your advice!

OK I'm not going to be much help but yes, high school is horrible. The people in highschool are horrible, self centred so and so's that make you give and give and GIVE until you burn out, have to take a year off due to a damn breakdown and then expect you to not change and give back everything that made you the way you are in the first place!!!!! *breathes*

Just try to ride the wave, not get expelled at all and remember that the teachers are there to be used as tools for your success. Nothing more. Unless you get along with them. Just be grateful that no one attempted to kick you out of the school, let you back in on the exception that YOU are on a contract despite the fact that you had been there longer than the principal and HR teacher combined and then treat you like dirt because they 'felt like it'. *sigh*

I graduated in 2000.. and boy do I miss it, and all of my friends! You think it is bad.. but like someone has said previously.. keep to a small bunch of friends.. I did.. and it was the best time of my life! I was also involved in *one* club.. I didnt exert myself because I didnt want to wear myself out so I couldnt enjoy school! Remember.. enjoy it, and enjoy being with your friends, no matter how tough the classes are. I had my fair share of troubles, between teachers, and I got mono in the second semester of my senior year.. so I missed a lot.. and boy, am I sad about that! Do everything you can.. and you will find you will enjoy it!

I went to two high schools and graduated in 1998. I miss it a lot, but there are so many things I'm experiencing now that I wouldn't have had the chance to do while I was in high school. But if I hadn't finished my high school education, I wouldn't have been able to experience these things either. So stick at it, and even if it doesn't get better or easier, it does end!

Different strokes for different folks...
i always tried to make the best of everything. I mean, if you think college will be any better most likely you'd have to change a track of thought you have for that to be true. It's a huge change that brings upon internal changes as well.
So.......just enjoy what you have while you have it.

I personally like highschool, i look for those that don't or may not and try to make it more enjoyable for them. Let them hang out with me etc. But personally i like highschool better then i do juniour high, i hated juniour high with a passion. What i have found to useful in Highschool is: Be yourself and don't give what other people think about you. Find the people that like you for who you are, and be yourself around them most of all, because they will be the ones to encourage you. Now if you were to go to my school, you could probly pick me out- me being the one of the few people that got bored and decided to wear a cape today (just for the heck of it)

and the only person that would act like a mosquito during biology class

Highschool is where you make some of your best friends, don't let that pass you by, try to look at the good things more then the bad.

I agree with you there, I wouldn't say it was the worst time, but it certainlty wern't the best. No college is the best time of your life.

Who just said college is the best time of your life?? Bah...nooooo it is not.

I work all the time, when I'm not working I go to class, when I'm not in class I have HW.. when I don't have HW I sleep. I have a smal period of time for a social life, and that is dying at the moment. GRR....
