Ok I know everyone has pet hates. Little things that drive you crazy. SO I am curious about everyone else's, yeah hoping I can feel less depressed about mine. I hate noisy eaters. I can't eat in silence, listening to every chewing noise. OH the scrapping of plates with forks and knife, the gathering of every last piece of food cuts through my ear drums. When people take far too long to say something, you know long pauses in mid sentence. I have been given out for doing this when I was younger, so now it gets on my nerves. Waiting for someone. The strange thing is that if you are waiting for someone in a crowded street people seem to get edgy when you see you just sitting there. I have this habit of people watching, and I get strange looks. I have nothing to do or read after 15 mins I get very edgy. People who are fake, I can deal with honesty but people who pretend to be charming when they don't mean it... it bugs me. Why bother. Ok I am sure I have lots more, if I brooded for awhile I could probably come up with two pages. Read this, have a laugh if you want, but I know I ain't alone on this. SO come one, tell me some of yours. [This message has been edited by citizenx (edited 09-03-2001).] |

I agree with the one you said about people who take too long to finish a sentence or story. My soon-to-be ex does this and I end up finishing his stories cause I get so impatient. I know this is rude I have very few peeves, but one certainly comes to mind. People who drive in the passing lane and are going the same speed or slower than the ones in the other lane. This really eats at me Police who give me speeding tickets People who are narrow minded and only see their own point of view Wow. I didn't have as much trouble finding pet peeves as I thought. I could probably think of few more, but I'll leave space for other to air theirs. This should be an interesting thread Tracey If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? [This message has been edited by Tracey (edited 09-02-2001).] |

Oh thats so easy... People who take their kids places then yell at them for getting excited or acting like a kid...cmon what gives? You dont yell at a two year old for wanting to touch things...thats what they do. People on cell phones...in the park? Geez cant they live without that for an hour? You go to the park to play and have fun...why take a phone along? |

I agree with that one Poet. Why yell at a little kid for being a child? Grrr...parents like that are annoying. My pet hates are noisy eaters. *shudders* They are so frustrating. It's almost like you need to have ear plugs to stop the sound but it still gets through... Crying babies. I HATE this. "Kelly's my Hero!" "No, Kelly's your heroine." "Kelly has heroin??" "What?" I don't like the kid screamers either, it makes the adult look the childish one... Here's some more of my peeves; Rude drivers, rude sales clerks long-winded speakers people who laugh at the expense of others people who are just mean telemarketers who won't give up snooty neighbors cliques |

Oh oh, now if I get going this is gonna be long.. number one is poor customer service, inadequately trained staff, etc. WHY is it a procedure whenever I try to do a #*thing.. Number two, everyone else on the road but me, especially the ones that will speed up and pass you in a non passing area,(risking lives) just to drive in front of you SLOWER than you were going. Aargh ... Number three, and this is a big one..people who yell obsenities at their little children. This just makes me sick. Ok I will stop now, just to give you a break S |

Ppl in the movies who talk and have cell phones on. I mean hello????? Geez... One time there was a guy who laughed at innapropriate times, talked stupidly (he was by himself), then answered his ringing phone to tell the person he was watching a movie..and began a convo with the other person!!! Grrrr... Oh and ppl who consantly lie, think they're better than everyone else. And ones who always use the wrong homophones... (ie. I "no" you're tired.) ARGGGGG Ok I'm done now. "...and this is how you remind me, of what I really am..." |

Cell phones!!! For emergencies, they're fine. But people who have them on all the time are wearing out my last nerve. This girl who was in one of my classes last year had one, and one day she and her dad were talking to the teacher, and the girl's cell phone rings. She answers the phone and leaves the room to chat! Her dad and the teacher were still talking, and she was there chit chatting on her cell phone. I thought that was really rude--her dad came out to the school to talk wuth the teacher, and the teacher took time to talk to them, and she leaves in the middle of the conversation. How rude is that?!? |
