Love is such a personal word to use! I love pizza! I love thunderstorms! I love seeing a child discover new things! What do you love? (not who - that's for another post!) |

Pizza, chocolate, reading my favorite poems time and time again, receiving a funny forward in my email that I haven't already seen thirty times, roses, the scent of lilacs, many other flowers, having a long and meaningful conversation with someone special, being in his arms, holding his hand, when someone posts a really nice reply to one of my poems, sunrises (even though I HATE getting up early), both sunshine and overcast days, the rolling smily icon and devil icons...to name just a few! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Elizabeth "He have his goodness now. Nan, you are right! I also love the sound of pines dancing in the night wind in the forest. A crackling fire in the fireplace... |

I love the sound of my coffee pot in the morning and that first cup of the day. I love the rain in summer, the feel of sand betwixt my toes, the rose garden at the park, the smell of new mown grass, the yawn of a newborn baby, my son's voice when he tells me he loves me (even in front of his friends),the stars on a clear night, my little sound that announces when I have mail, and my husband's scent on my pillows. Hmm let's see...I LOVE the first sunny weekend of spring. I love dry crisp blue fall days, that were so chilly the night before that you had to have the season's first fire. I love my sons! I love their blue eyes, the way they look straight into mine as they tell me how much they love me. I love being read to. I love having my hair played with. I love honesty. I love my first latte of the day. I love someone who looks straight into my eyes while I am talking...tho I am shy enough that looking straight into theirs is hard for me....it's a quality I hold high in others! I love old things.....discovered treasures...like an old family Bible, or a box of musty letters, or even an old kitchen utensil....the history behind things like that that fascinate me. I love poetry and art and music and nature. They all make my soul feel so alive! I love to grow things. I love other people's little girls...I want a daughter so bad! I love men who clean up after themselves. I love backrubs when I have a migraine. I love finding a great deal on something I have wanted for ages! I love long soaks in the tub with herbal bath tea bags and a candle and a great book. I love reading classics....and I think I shall leave it at this for now! LOL ![]() ~X~ "Our life, exempt from public haunt, finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything." --William Shakespeare |

I love cranking the music up load and moving to the beat, just rocking out. I love playing my guitar, watching the stars, feeling the caress of sunrays on my face, the sound and sight of streams flowing through the verdant forests surrounding the St. Croix River... and many other things too... I love the smell of fresh cut grass in the summer and that fresh smell right after it rains. Both those smells send shivers down my spine. "WRITING IS EASY. ALL YOU DO IS STARE AT A BLANK SHEET OF PAPER UNTIL DROPS OF BLOOD FORM ON YOUR FOREHEAD." Gene Fowler |

Hi, This is my first visit here...the question intrigued me, and made me think. I love that special touch from a special person, the look in the eyes of someone who cares, the look in someone's eyes after you know you've helped them, the sight of my house after a long day at work, warm spring and hot summer days, flower gardens, gardening with no gloves (I love the feel of the earth in my hands), seeing the beauty produced from your hard work, peach colored roses, gerbera daisies, wisteria draped over an arbor, books, my computer, and Nan really had one that I love with a passion...the sound of waves slapping the beach, and walking barefoot at the water's edge. the poet's pen...gives to airy nothing A local habitation and a name ~ Shakespeare |

I love the sound of a living ocean cutting all the worry from my mind...I love laying on my back, hair all around staring up beyond a mirage of leaves into a blue sky...I love the song of crickets in a summer evening...I love the caress of hands through my hair and the light tickle when fingers accidently touch my back...I love the butterfly's flight, its dance with the air...I love poetry and the life it gives me...I love drowning into a favourite song, playing it over and over...I love feeling the heartbeat of a cat beating next to my cheek and the fresh smell of its fur after it has been outside in a cold night...I love the last lines of a beloved novel and that feeling of missing the characters while knowing I can visit them again...I love the taste of toothpaste...I love smiles from strangers and the sense of community for a brief second before they pass right out of my life...I love the small things within a huge existence... |

I Love... *when my pen flows across paper seemingly without a thought and something wonderful comes out of it *Getting so into a book that I lose myself in it and hours pass as I read unaware *Talking with someone and feeling that I've really connected and been understood *Meeting the challenge- someone telling me somethig can't be done and my proving them wrong *The innocence of children, th ecute little things they say and do *The beach, deserted on a moonlight night with a gentle breeze *Thunderstorms their intensity holds ma captive *Gazing at the stars (of course) and the feelings of wonder they invoke Mystical being which makes ink flow Surround me in your incandescent glow Fill my brain with thoughts and rhyme As I try to capture but a moment in time ~Shan~ |

I love the sound of someone you've loved but kept it to yourself saying those 3 words to you. It's exciting, scary, and relieving all at once. Everything seems so perfect in those breif but beautiful moments. I also love warm sand squishing between your toes at the beach (OH! How I long for california so!) |

Hm, lets see here..I love the smell of chlorine in our pool, the smell of fresh cut grass, standing out in the rain, looking into my boyfriend's stunning eyes, loosing myself in my writing, hearing a baby's laughter, lighting candles and listening to music by myself, being told that I'm loved, being surprised, and a heck of a lot more too... ![]() *Krista Knutson* As soon as man does not take his existence for granted, but beholds it as something unfathomably mysterious, thought begins. ~*Albert Schweitzer*~ |

These are a few of the things I love- *The giggle that bubbles up from the innocence of little girls at play. *Little boys with beads of perspiration on their noses .. affirmation of how hard they've been at play. *A walk on the beach in a warm drizzle of rain. *The touch on my face by my blind friend when he searches for my smile. The smile that radiates from his face when he finds it. *The calm serenity that comes over me when I hear the tolling of church bells. *An e-mail from a friend ... just because he 'happened' to be thinking of me. *The waltz of the moon across the sky, tiptoeing around the stars. *A jet plane roaring through the clouds. *Flying kites and feeling the stress and tension being pulled from me. *Art festivals. *Yard sales. *Giving hugs that surprise the receiver. *The glowing embers of a campfire. *The fragrance of freshly washed laundry. *Grown sons who ask for recipes. *Grown daughter who asks for poetry. *Friends who are always there. *Two-hour naps. *Hot-air balloon rides. *Cotton candy. *Coffee - steaming hot. *One-pot suppers. *The wag of a dogs tail. *Nekkid sunbathing. *A good football game. **Questions like this that make me smile as I recall. Thank you, PoetD. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Hmmmmm..... I love sweet scent of a just bathed baby and the way they nuzzle. I love the sounds of children's laughter. I love the innocent beauty in their eyes. I love sunsets reflecting on a glassy lake. I love sitting outside looking up at the stars. I love to see my meager efforts come to life in my flower beds. I love watching the birds and squirrels fight over food. I love warm summer nights and howling blizzards. I love Christmas. I love sharing laughter with friends. I love it when everyone will eat what I have fixed for dinner, with no complaints. I love this website and all of the great poetry here. [This message has been edited by BSC (edited 04-09-2000).] |
