I haven't been able to write a darn thing in months. I don't know why but the wrods have just stopped coming. It's really frusterating. With a writer's block I atleast normally can get somewords on paper and piece random thoughts together. But this has got to be like the uber form of a writers block cause I can't even do that now. Someone please give me some advise on how to get back my scared muse. I miss writing. "It's not the letting go that hurts, it's the holding on." |

Do what most writers do. Write a story about a writer who moves out of the city into the country because he has writers block and then horrible things start to happen to him/her. You can go comedy or horror at that point. |

I shall be waiting for these replies too, as my "muse" such as she is has been gone since I moved before Christmas. I am not sweating it though, I read instead ![]() ![]() |

a good thing to do when your muse is missing, is to write about it. Mine is missing too, by the way. Here is my poem: The Strapping of the Wench In hiding place I found my muse made of pewter air breathed her in like cool and dark a chocolate from the Frigidaire My muse WAS there but she’s not fair now she’s stuck in scenery of heart between the tender nape of neck and the garden afraid to start She is part of the transformation in movement out the door the sound she makes cries free me and then hold me evermore Twirl she says in softest voice to me with a evil wink then lifts her pretty skirt off floor and dances in my ink I brush her off my shoulder in her next whim then I find she is flapping arms and darting tongue in rhythm from behind I’m tired of chasing after her can’t she see I need a break my words are screaming in my head and what comes out now just seems fake She jokes a lot when I am down thinking she’ll get me laughing but if I could catch that wicked wench she would get a real good strapping |

This may sound silly to you all but.... Being a high school student, when we have writers block our teacher Mr. O makes us do a bubble chart. Start with the topic of story/poem *whatever it is your wanting to write* then branch out into the many different topics, sceneries, time periods etc. I dont know if that helps, but it's atleast worth a shot right? Good luck to you! |

Thank all of you for your ideas. I think I have an idea of what I can do now. "It's not the letting go that hurts, it's the holding on." |
