If God himself were here on earth I don’t believe he’d preach He’d be there if you needed help And be within your reach He’d show the way if you were lost He’d give you hope to hold He’d give your prayers and wishes place And lead you to your gold He’d make you look within yourself To find and see the worth Of brothers and of sisters whom All strive and live on earth And you would feel contented By a presence in your mind Warmed by satisfaction That a key within did find And you would smile with day and test And be all you could be If God himself were here on earth Such beauty you would see |
